In Volumen 3 of Las literaturas hispánicas: Introducción a su estudio, Evelyn Picon Garfield and Ivan A. Schulman include selections from more than forty Spanish American authors from the sixteenth century to the present day. The variety of literary genres represented here includes poetry, short stories, essays, excerpts from novels, and plays. Like Volumen 2 this book can be used alone or in conjunction with Volumen 1, which provides a foundation for the reading and understanding of various literary genres in their cultural contexts.
